In 1990, he graduated from Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Aeronautics and Space Sciences as one of the top four Space Engineers in Turkey. In 1990, at the same university, he developed ALTINAY 1, Turkey's first robot. In 1991, he founded Altinay Robotics and Automation Limited Company, turkey's first entrepreneurial research company, in ITU TEKMER, turkey's first Technopark. On August 30, 1993, it launched a 6-axis robot project to be used in the industry. In 1994, he left his position at the university and founded Altinay Robotics Inc. in order to make the technology he developed available to the industry and make it permanent. Altinay Robotics company, which has been doing pioneering work in the field of robotics, was recognized as one of the 28 robot manufacturers in Europe by the World Robot Federation (IFR) in 1996. Altinay Robot Technologies company has won many important awards, including the "SME Grand Prize" last given by KOSGEB in 2012. Hakan Altinay has been active in Turkey's Science, Technology and Industry strategy studies and in the law studies prepared on these issues.
In addition to these works, the Association of Industrial Automation Industrialists (ENOSAD) founded 2. He has held many positions such as Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Islamic Science History Research Foundation (IBTAV) Founding Board of Trustees, SAHA Association YK Membership, Teknopark Science Board membership, Machine Manufacturers Association YK Membership. He is married with two daughters. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Altinay Robot Technologies Inc.
