KARAASLAN

Dr. Mehmet Karaaslan, born in Istanbul in 1971, graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering and continued his studies as a Research Assistant in the same department between 1995-1997 and completed the Mechanical Engineering Master's Program (MSc). Afterwards, he completed the Engineering Management Doctorate Program (PhD) at Marmara University Industrial Engineering Department between 1997 and 2005, he also completed the Strategic Planning and Executive Development Programs at Northwestern University, Kellogg Business School in the USA in 2004.

He started his professional career in the Supply Coordination Group of Koç Holding Automotive Companies Directorate and he worked in Quality Auditing, Purchasing and Supplier Development divisions respectively between 1995-2001.

Dr. Mehmet KARAASLAN continued his career as Otokar Strategic Planning Coordinator between 2001-2005 and subsequently worked as Otokar Planning Manager between 2005-2008, Altay Project Manager between 2008-2016, Altay Program Director between 2016-2017, and Otokar Production and Supply Group Director in 2018.

Since October 2018, he is working as the General Manager of BMC Tank and New Generation Vehicles, which carries out many important heavy armoured vehicle projects of Türkiye, especially ALTAY Main Battle Tank Serial Production and Leopard Tank Modernization projects and as the General Manager of BMC Defence since July 2019, which provides many products and maintenance/repair services to the Turkish Armed Forces and manufactures New Generation FIRTINA Howitzers.

Dr. Mehmet KARAASLAN is married and has two children.
