Ümit Yaşar Karadeniz received his bachelor's degree from METU Civil Engineering Department in 1998.

He received his master's degree from the Information Systems program at the METU Informatics Institute and continued and did not complete the doctoral program of the same department.

He worked as a research assistant at METU between 1999-2005.

Between 2005-2017, he worked in many companies of Çukurova Holding.

Between 2005 and 2010, he successfully managed many important projects as a mid-level manager at Topaz, Turkcell Tellcom, Superonline.

He served as the General Manager of Topaz Telekomünikasyon A.Ş. between 2010-2017.

In the same period, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TARS Teknoloji AŞ, Çukurova Holding companies, Chairman of the Board of Fark Turizm AŞ, Executive Board Member of Hobim Bilgi İşlem AŞ, Member of the Board of Saudi Arabian Baytur, and Board Member of Artron Tasarım Üretim Elektronik A.Ş.

He has been actively involved in the establishment of 6 technology startup companies so far.

Karadeniz is currently the Chairman of the Board and the founding partner of Çatı Teknoloji AŞ, which is an ITC system integrator, and ArgosAI Teknoloji AŞ, which performs automation of artificial intelligence and computer vision-based airports ground operations.
