Dr. Metehan ÇALIŞ was born in 1981 in Konya.

He received his undergraduate degrees from ITU Civil Engineering program in 2004 and Environmental Engineering program, which was a double major program in 2005. He graduated from ITU Transportation Engineering program with his master's and doctoral degrees in 2015. He has served in various positions in the Building Materials Laboratories at the Turkish Standards Institute since 2006.
