Yıldız Metal appeared in the sector in 1991 with the production of aluminium bullions. The casting techniques changed in the subsequent years due to the changes in technology and the company commenced the production of aluminium billets, which is the upper level of bullion production process, in order to address the aluminium extrusion sector with the new machines and labour that the company included in 2002. During this process, the company shifted from a labour-oriented production process to a machinebased production and proved that it is open to changes following the technologic innovations. After its realization that the country was speedily developing in terms of defence, aviation, maritime and construction sectors in 2017 and that the aluminium used in these sectors plate was completely being imported, the company decided to manufacture aluminium slabs to cover the requirement in this field and actualized necessary process arrangements.
