TRBOR produces boron carbide with high purity and high boron content with an annual capacity of 1.350 tons. TRBOR products are produced according to FEPA standards and their grain sizes vary from 3 μm to 2 mm. Boron Carbide is an extremely hard material (Mohs hardness value of 9.3), showing high chemical resistance, high heat resistance, low specific gravity and high neutron absorption properties. Because of these properties, it is used as refractory, wear-resistant and structural ceramics, abrasive, shotblast nozzles, sintering technology (Ballistic armor), metal-matrix composites, polishing, substrate and boron source.
