MOTA Power Systems was founded in 2018 within the Eskişehir Technology Development Zone to develop specialized solutions for the power system needs of the defense industry, particularly unmanned aerial vehicles.

MOTA conducts its activities in three different areas:

i) They continue to work on small-sized internal combustion engines, electric motors, and generators with high power density, offering these systems as integrated power packages in hybrid solutions.

ii) They have initiated three different projects for the development of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) motor subsystems/accessories, with two of these projects successfully completed and the products being used in UAV systems.

iii) Serving as the mechanical design subcontractor for one of Turkey's most critical test infrastructure systems in the domestic defense industry, MOTA utilizes its expertise to carry out project activities for various test systems in this field.

The company's founder, Erhan Bilgiç, played a leading role in the successful development of Turkey's most important UAV motor projects between 2008 and 2018 as part of the TEI (Tusaş Motor Sanayii A.Ş.) team. In September 2018, he left his position at TEI to establish MOTA Power Systems with the goal of developing innovative and competitive products in line with the country's needs. MOTA Power Systems aims to become an indispensable partner for critical motor accessory systems and small-sized power systems needed in the Defense and Aviation sector, contributing high added value to the country's economy by exporting innovative and competitive products abroad.


Integrated Thrust System (Developed for fixed-wing UAV platforms in the 30-60 kg class. It is a universal structure that can be quickly integrated into different platforms.) MALE Class UAV Alternator (Compatible with high-altitude conditions, with a high power-to-weight ratio.) Propeller Governor (An electro-hydraulic actuator/controller that controls the engine speeds of MALE class UAVs. It is being developed as a product family with different variants.)


Maintenance, repair, and technical service for small UAV systems' thrust systems and motors. Development and production of custom test systems according to specific needs. Engineering services for the development of critical subsystems during the development of comprehensive test systems. Engineering and consultancy services for the improvement of motor and altitude performance of MALE class UAV systems.
