Lucas Elektrik San.Ve Tic. A.Ş. was established in 1982 under the partnership of Lucas Industries Plc, Mehmet Sakallıoğlu and Nirun Sahingiray. The company that was then manufacturing Lucas type A115, A127 Alternators and M113 (M45) and M127 (M50) Starter Motors through the assembly of the components imported from Lucas England has now in the position allowing it to manufacture all of the important components in its own plants as a result of the intense localization endeavours. The shares of the English partner were purchased by Sakallıoğlu family when the new group emerged due to the merger of Lucas with Varity in 1996 decided to withdraw from the production of Starter Motor and Alternator production operations globally and the entire right of use of “LucasElektrik” brand were granted to the firm as a result of this process. Today, Lucas Elektrik A.Ş. aims at continuously growing with the power that its experienced and qualified team provides in its modern production facility.
