Anadolu Shipyard was established in 50’s at Golden Horn/Istanbul. It was named and officially recorded as “Anadolu Deniz İnşaat Kızakları Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi” in 1971. The Shipyard moved to its current location in Tuzla area in 1982. Various types of maritime platforms have been designed, built and delivered so far.
Starting from 2007 onwards, Anadolu Shipyard decided to diversify its activities in other fields of the shipbuilding activity, including ship designing and building for Turkish Navy.
In December 2008, Anadolu Shipyard won its first naval tender for designing and building of 8 Fast Landing Craft Tanks (LCT) for Turkish Navy. Project has officially started on July 28 2009, the first vessel namely TCG Ç-151 was delivered on March 9, 2012 and the project was completed on time by delivering eight (8) ships and the last vessel namely TCG Ç-158 to Turkish Navy on 29 August 2012. Total Project Schedule was completed within 36 months, as planned without any delays.
After this success, Anadolu Shipyard won the 2nd naval tender for 2 vessels Landing Ship Tank Project (LST) for Turkish Navy. These vessels were designed and built according to NATO and all other relevant Navy Standards. The Project has officially started in June 2013 and both LSTs, TCG SANCAKTAR & TCG BAYRAKTAR, were delivered to Turkish Navy in April 2017 and April 2018 respectively. Together with LSTs, Anadolu Shipyard also designed and built eight Landing Craft Vehicles and Personnel (LCVP). Both LST and LCVP programmes were also completed in time.
Anadolu Shipyard, with its indigenous design capability supported by large number of ex-Navy design engineers and specialists, provides high level of integration of complex Naval Systems to meet the customer requirements during the design and building phases of the advanced Platforms.
Currently, Anadolu Shipyard has concluded the design of Cadet Training Ships and started building two (2) ships for Qatar Emiri Navy Forces.
Furthermore, Anadolu Shipyard has been awarded by Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. India for design, project management, technical engineering support for construction, supply and integration of Key Machinery Equipment for five (5) Fleet Support Ships construction for Indian Navy as well as training services and the augmentation planning of shipyard organization and facilities.
Anadolu Shipyard has so far completed and delivered 206 Commercial & 18 Naval Ships.
Anadolu Shipyard, as a proven strategic partner of Turkey MOD, is the part of the programs of the Turkish Navy bids such as Logistic Support Ship, Corvettes, Frigates, Offshore Patrol Vessels, Fast Attack Crafts, Coast Guards and all Amphibious Platforms.
